Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz's fan-favorite 2015 musical Be More Chill will play an off-Broadway run this summer at the Pershing Square Signature Center, producers have announced.

Inspired by the novel by Ned Vizzini, the musical will run July 26-September 23 at the Irene Diamond Stage. Stephen Brackett will direct, with choreography by Chase Brock.

The off-Broadway engagement will star Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen) as Jeremy, alongside original cast members Gerard Canonico as Rich, Katlyn Carlson as Chloe, Stephanie Hsu as Christine, Lauren Marcus as Brooke, and George Salazar as Michael. Jason SweetTooth Williams will play Jeremy's Dad/Mr. Reyes. Additional casting will be announced.

Be More Chill features music and lyrics by Iconis and a book by Tracz. The story is described as follows: "Jeremy Heere is your average, nothing-special teenager at Middleborough High in nothing-special New Jersey… until the day he finds out about 'The Squip.' Thus begins a journey that pits Jeremy's desire to be popular against his struggle to remain true to his authentic self." It premiered in 2015 at Two River Theater.

The creative team will include Clint Ramos (scenic design), Bobby Frederick Tilley II (costume design), Tyler Micoleau (lighting), Ryan Rumery (sound design), Emily Marshall (musical direction), and Charlie Rosen (orchestrations).
