New York Classical Theatre's production of Romeo and Juliet is set for the company's "take a seat" performances at Rockefeller Park and Battery Park City beginning June 27. These performances continue until June 30 when the company will tour the show at the Battery, Carl Schurz Park, and Brooklyn Bridge Park through July 29.

Unlike the company's usual panoramic staging — where the audience follows the actors around to multiple locations — New York Classical Theatre's "take a seat" performances occur in a single location. All New York Classical Theatre productions are unticketed, free, and open to the public.

Stephen Burdman directs Ian Antal and Connie Castanzo as Romeo and Juliet. They are supported by Vivia Font (Lady Capulet, Benvolio), Ian Gold (Tybalt, Nurse, Friar Laurence), Nick Salamone (Capulet, Mercutio), and Clay Storseth (Prince Escalus, Montague, Paris, Apothecary).

The creative team includes production designers Summer Lee Jack and Sarita Fellows, voice and speech coach Joan Melton, fight director Sean Michael Chin, and production stage manager Yetti Steinman.
