Daniel Sullivan directs the drama for Manhattan Theatre Club.

Laura Linney will return to Broadway in spring 2027 in Montauk, a new play by David Hare, directed by Daniel Sullivan. The Manhattan Theatre Club production will open at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
In Montauk, Linney plays Roxy Margaux, a star writer who falls for abstract painter Jared Speight, with Hare charting more than a decade of their romantic and career entanglements. Complete casting will be announced at a later date.
Linney and Sullivan have collaborated on the Manhattan Theatre Club productions of Summer, 1976; The Little Foxes; Time Stands Still; and Sight Unseen. This marks Hare’s first Broadway production since the 2015 revival of Skylight.
In addition, Linney has been named Manhattan Theatre Club’s first Artist-in-Residence, a reflection of her 35-year relationship with the company, and will involve her developing future projects for MTC, as well as participating in its educational and community outreach programs.
