Pipeline Theatre Company's Folk Wandering Opens Off-Broadway

Pipeline Theatre Company's recently extended Folk Wandering opened Sunday, March 4, for its run at A.R.T./New York Theatres. Recently extended, the new musical, conceived by Jaclyn Backhaus and Andrew Neisler, will play through March 25.
Folk Wandering features a book by Backhaus; music by Backhaus, Blake Allen, Mike Brun, Andrew R. Butler, Joel Esher, Alex Fast, Jo Lampert, Barrie McLain, Annie Tippe, and Dominique Toney; and lyrics by Allen, Backhaus, Brun, Butler, Esher, Lampert, McLain, and Tipple. Neisler directs the production.
The cast includes Kim Blanck, Andrew R. Butler, Seth Clayton, DeMone, Adrian Blake Enscoe, Morgan Siobhan Green, Lena Hudson, Kate Loprest, Dan Tracy, Jordan Tyson, and Nicole Weiss. The creative team includes Ellen Winter (music direction), Carolyn Mraz (set design), Christopher Bowser (lighting design), Heather McDevitt Barton (costume design), Jim Petty of Five OHM Productions (sound design), Emmie Finckel (prop design), Jenny Beth Snyder (production management), and Kristy Bodall (stage management).
Folk Wandering is described as "a sweeping new musical conjured from the hearts and minds of Jaclyn Backhaus, Andrew Neisler, and nine emerging singer-songwriters. This expansive story investigates the making and breaking of the American dream across three bygone generations."
