Patti LuPone Teaches a Strict Lesson to a Texting Audience Member During Shows for Days
Come on, you all should know better already.

At this point, people should know better than to use a cell phone or take photos during a play — especially a play that Patti LuPone is starring in! But of course, various gauche individuals do not, and LuPone had to once again take business into her own awesome hands.
During last night's performance of Douglas Carter Beane's Shows for Days, LuPone snatched a phone right out of an audience member's hands as they sat there texting. During the show. During a point in the show where LuPone's character interacts with the audience (and, in fact, is supposed to shake people's hands).
As Twitter user "CatsPolitics" reported:
I saw Patti LuPone deliver her scene exit line tonight at Lincoln Center & SNATCH A CELL PHONE OUT OF AN AUDIENCE MEMBER'S HAND. #theatre

Lincoln Center Theater confirmed the incident happened but had no comment. We have one, though: Turn off your phones!
