Oscar winner and five-time Tony nominee Estelle Parsons (Bonnie and Clyde, The Velocity of Autumn) and two-time Tony winner Judith Ivey (The Audience, The Heiress) will star in Out of the Mouths of Babes, a new comedy by Israel Horovitz, coming to the Cherry Lane Theatre this spring. Angelina Fiordellisi (Zorba) and Francesca Choy-Kee (Disgraced) round out the world-premiere off-Broadway cast.

Directed by Barnet Kellman, performances are set to begin June 7 in advance of a June 19 opening. The story depicts what happens when four women arrive in Paris for the funeral of a 100-year-old man who loved each of them – sometimes simultaneously. For 24 hours, they share his apartment, delicious secrets, and a dead cat.

A free public reading of the play, featuring the off-Broadway cast, will be presented on Friday, February 26, at 3pm at Cherry Lane Theatre. Reservations can be made at CherryLaneRSVP@gmail.com. The Westport Country Playhouse will also host a free reading with the complete cast on Thursday, February 25, at 7pm.

Out of the Mouths of Babes reunites Horovitz with Parsons, who starred in his drama My Old Lady, as well as with Ivey, who starred opposite Jason Robards on Broadway in Horovitz’s Park Your Car in Harvard Yard.
