Mint Theater artistic director Jonathan Bank has announced Meet Miss Baker, the company's latest series devoted to bringing the work of neglected women playwrights to a broader audience. This series will focus on the work of English playwright Elizabeth Baker and will encompass three American-premiere productions over the next two years.

The series will kick off with The Price of Thomas Scott, running January 24-March 23 at Theatre Row, with opening night set for February 20. Bank will direct a cast that includes Donald Corren, Andrew Fallaize, Emma Geer, Josh Goulding, Mitchell Greenberg, Nick LaMedica, Jay Russell, Tracy Sallows, Mark Kenneth Smaltz, Ayana Workman, and Arielle Yoder.

The creative team will include Vicki R. Davis (scenic design), Hunter Kazcorowski (costume design), Christian DeAngelis (lighting design), Jane Shaw (sound design), and Chris Fields (prop design). According to a press release, the play is "about a businessman who hesitates to sell his shop for conversion into a dance hall, because he considers dancing immoral."

Following The Price of Thomas Scott will be two Baker plays at two theaters within Theatre Row in the summer of 2020: Partnership and her most famous play, Chains. In between and beyond, Mint will present readings of many of her other plays, and will publish Elizabeth Baker Reclaimed around the time of the Baker twin bill in 2020.
