William Michals, Marnie Schulenburg, et al. Set for Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival’s South Pacific

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival has announced casting for its production of South Pacific, to be performed on the Festival’s Main Stage, June 15-July 3.
Dennis Razze will direct.

South Pacific is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by James Michener. The story focuses on a young U.S. Navy nurse who falls in love with an island plantation owner during World War II.


William Michals will play Emile de Becque and former Daytime Emmy Award nominee Marnie Schulenburg will play Nellie Forbush. The cast will also feature Amy Jo Phillips as Bloody Mary, Spencer Plachy as Lt. Joe Cable, Anthony Lawton as Luther Billis, and David Jack as Commander Harbison.

The creative team will include Stephen Casey as choreographer, Nathan Diehl as music director/conductor, Will Neuert as set designer, Eric T. Haugen as lighting designer, Sam Fleming as costume designer, and Matthew Given as sound designer.
