Jamie Lloyd’s new production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterwork Evita comes to Broadway spring of 2027.
Olivier and WhatsOnStage Award winner Rachel Zegler will reprise her lauded role as ‘Eva Perón’ at the Winter Garden Theatre.
Fuelled by unrelenting ambition and passion, Eva Perón rose from poverty to become the most powerful woman in Latin America. A beacon of hope to some and a threat to others, her star shone brightly as she captured the nation’s heart and divided its soul. Evita features an iconic score including “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “Oh What A Circus,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and the Oscar-winning “You Must Love Me.”
The role of ‘Eva Perón’ will not be played by Zegler at the following performances: Tuesday, April 13, 2027; Tuesday, April 20, 2027; Tuesday, April 27, 2027; Tuesday, May 11, 2027; Tuesday, May 25, 2027; Wednesday matinee, June 2, 2027; Wednesday matinee, June 9, 2027; Tuesday, June 22, 2027; August 9 through August 15, 2027; and October 25 through October 31, 2027. Starting Tuesday, July 6, 2027, through the end of the year, Zegler will not perform the role on Tuesdays with some holiday exceptions on the weeks of Election Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
