Louise Pitre, star of the Broadway production of Mamma Mia!, will appear on Friday, March 7 in Vive La Chanson, the first show in Town Hall’s new World Cabaret series.
The entire second act of the show will be devoted to Pitre as she sings a wide selection of French music, including songs by Charles Aznavour and Edith Piaf. The first act will feature performances from Michel Berube, A.J. Irvin, Greta, and special guest star Amanda McBroom (who has appeared in Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris). Though all the songs in Vive La Chanson were originally written in French, the show will have lyrics in English as well.
TheaterMania’s Scott Siegel, who also created the Broadway by the Year series for Town Hall, is the producer, writer, and host of Vive La Chanson. Tickets for the performance are available at $35 and $30; they may be purchased at the Town Hall box office or by phoning Ticketmaster at 212-307-4100.
