Fiennes plays the title character, the Roman general Coriolanus who betrays his native city and allies with his sworn enemy Tullus Aufidius for revenge. The film’s cast also features Gerard Butler as Afidius, Vanessa Redgrave as Coriolanus’ mother Volumnia, and Brian Cox as Menenius.
