The production, which originated at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, is nominated for both Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. It is directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff and features Paul Nolan as Jesus Christ, Chilina Kennedy as Mary Magdalene, Tom Hewitt as Pontius Pilate, Bruce Dow as King Herod, Marcus Nance as Caiaphas, and Aaron Walpole as Annas.
