Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project has released a behind-the-scenes look at the recording session for “Lucky” featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, who discusses the song. Also featured is Tony Award-winning actress & singer Donna Murphy, who performs the song, with Gil Goldstein (piano), and Jody Redhage (cello).

As previously reported, Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project is a multi-media charity project that includes a two-CD set of original lullabies composed and sung by some of Broadway’s brightest stars, a lavishly-illustrated hardcover book of 17 songs from the album, a corresponding e-book encompassing the entire collection, and a documentary film. The project will raise money for two respected breast cancer charities, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Young Survival Coalition.

Also, as previously announced, stage and screen star Edie Falco will host a free-of-charge concert to celebrate the release of Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project, to be held at The Stephen Sondheim Theater on Monday, May 7, at 8pm.
