Transport Group Announces Talkback Series for Three Days to See

The new production explores the legacy of Helen Keller.

Transport Group has announced a series of talkbacks to coincide with is ongoing production of Three Days to See, a performance piece conceived and directed by Jack Cummings III at Theatre 79.

Following the July 31 performance, Beth A. Haller, editor of the recently published Byline of Hope: Collected Newspaper and Magazine Writing of Helen Keller, will discuss the impact of Keller's legacy along with Cummings. Following the August 4 performance, Maricar Marquez, a Support Service Provider/Volunteer Coordinator at the Helen Keller National Center who is herself deaf and blind, will join Cummings and cast for a talkback.

In addition, there will be an audio descriptive performance on July 29 and an open-captioned performance on August 5.

Three Days to See, which is based on the words of Helen Keller, creates a portrait of the deaf and blind author and activist. The work is described as an event that will "joyfully demolish and reconstruct everything you thought you knew about this utterly unique American icon and introduce you to Keller's revelatory and singular take on culture, feminism, romance and politics."

The cast includes Ito Aghayere (Orange Is the New Black), Patrick Boll (Mamma Mia!), Marc delaCruz (If/Then), Theresa McCarthy (Queen of the Mist), Chinaza Uche (Bintou), Barbara Walsh (Company), and Zoe Wilson. The production runs through August 16.
