Tony Award Nominee Sidney DuPont Joins the Cast of Todrick Hall's MIDNIGHT

The full cast and design team has been announced for the North American premiere of MIDNIGHT, written, directed, and choreographed by Todrick Hall. The production runs September 12-November 8, with an official opening night set for September 27, at the Daryl Roth Theatre.

Hall will play Rail and will be joined in the cast by The Voice finalist Jeremy Beloate as Richard, Jimmy Brewer as Harry, Kennedy Caughell as Scarlet, Dwayne Clark as Horace, Tony Award nominee Sidney DuPont as Squeak, Ayana George as Ethel, Autumn Hurlbert as Charlotte, Kolbi Jordan as Happy, Sarah Lynn Marion as Violet, Ciaran McCarthy as Sylvester, and Charlotte Odusanya as Lily Rose.

The ensemble includes Gregory Carl Banks Jr., Kyla Bartholomeusz, Keely Beirne, Zachary Bigelow, Brandon Burks, Jaylon C. Crump, Abbey Friedmann, Ndaya Dream Hoskins, Omar Madden, Brayden James Newby, JJ Niemann, Barnaby Reiter, Aveena Sawyer, Nissi Shalome, Bronwyn Tarboton, Jenni Thomasson, Matthew Varvar, and Emily Yates.

The creative team includes music supervisor, arranger, co-orchestrator, and music director Laurence Stannard, co-original orchestrator Mark Crossland, set designer Morgan Large, costume designer Beck Jones, lighting designer Jake DeGroot, sound designer Lawrence Schober, and wig and hair designer Charles G. LaPointe.

Set in the American South during the 19th century, MIDNIGHT follows twelve interconnected lives, six Black characters and six white characters, whose relationships challenge the worlds they have inherited and the assumptions they carry. The sung-through score blends gospel, rhythm and blues, pop, rock, folk, and opera.
