Theresa Rebeck’s Talk to Have World Premiere at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

Theresa Rebeck’s new play Talk will receive its world premiere at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, September 26-October 25. Opening night is October 1.

In Talk, a news commentary talk-show host hoping to boost the program’s ratings decides to stage a live broadcast. When an unexpected guest joins the show’s usual lineup of talking heads, the conversation quickly spirals out of control.

The cast features Andrea Syglowski, Kieran Cronin, Victor Williams, Maxine Linehan, Luigi Sottile, and Viviana Valeria. The production is directed by Mêlisa Annis.

Rebeck has had more plays produced on Broadway than any other living female playwright, with credits including I Need That, Bernhardt/Hamlet, Dead Accounts, Seminar, and Mauritius.

The creative team includes co-set designers Christopher Swader and Justin Swader, costume designer Fabin Fidel Aguilar, lighting designer Mary Ellen Stebbins, sound designer and composer Fitz Patton, dramaturg Tatiana Godfrey, stage manager Shelby Scaffidi, and assistant stage manager Madison Stone.
