As 2014 draws to a close, TheaterMania looks back on some of the most jaw-dropping stories of the year with the 2014 WTFs.

Much to the chagrin of our cynical society, NBC's live broadcast of Peter Pan on December 4 went off without a single glitch. While ratings were down by nearly half compared with last year's Sound of Music Live!, enough people watched and all came away with the same question: When did Christian Borle's biceps get so huge?

At this point, whether or not they were real, CGI, or just padded is a secret that Borle and the creative team is taking to their respective graves, but we're pretty firmly decided that they are indeed genuine — and that he literally lived at Mark Fisher Fitness for the weeks leading up to the telecast to bulk himself up.
