The Realization of Emily Linder, presented by New Jersey Repertory Company, begins its run tonight. The comedic-drama centers on Emily, a retired, eccentric university professor. At the beginning of the play she comes to a "realization" and calls her two daughters to her side to inform them that she knows the day she will die. She sends each of them off with explicit instructions and assignments that they must complete before her imminent death. Emily’s journey and her control over her fate, however, are derailed when someone unexpected from her past emerges. She finds herself in place she hadn’t expected, on the road to possible new discoveries.

Written by Richard Strand and directed by SuzAnne Barabas, the show features Marnie Andrews as Emily Linder, Dana Benningfield as Margaret Hall, Corey Tazmania as Janet Linder-Martini, and Jenny Vallancourt as Jennifer Lee.

The creative team includes Jessica Parks (set design and props), Patricia Doherty (costume design), Jill Nagle (lighting design), Merek Royce Press (sound design), Brian Snyder (technical director), and Jennifer Tardibuono (stage manager).

Performances will run through May 24.
