The autobiographical rock opera The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips will play an upcoming four-performance engagement at The Box on February 20 and 28 and March 7 and 13. The show is written by performer Kenyon Phillips and has previously played several sold-out shows at Joe's Pub.

The Life and Death of Kenyon Phillips is a 90-minute rock opera that uses an interactive cabaret-variety show format, complete with burlesquers, aerialists, and other circus acts, to explore the past, present, and future of downtown performance artist Kenyon Phillips. The new production will feature the songs from the Joe's Pub run, as well as several new tunes that haven't been performed for an audience.

Phillips is a singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer, and DJ. In addition to founding and fronting the bands Roma!, Unisex Salon, and Thrill a Minute, he has written and produced songs for Amy Poehler, Joey Arias, Raven O, and Sherry Vine. His debut solo EP, Fire in the Hole, was released in September 2013.
