Plans for the Barrow Group's 2018-19 season, which will include three productions "that invite audiences to take a look deep within," has been announced.

The season will open with a revival of Martin Moran's Obie award-winning solo play, The Tricky Part (November 29-December 16), directed by Seth Barrish. Originally developed at the Barrow Group, The Tricky Part garnered two Drama Desk nominations in 2004 including Best Play. This limited engagement marks the first time the autobiographical play is being produced in New York since its original run.

The season continues with the world premiere of Awake (January 12, 2019-February 8, 2019), written and directed by K. Lorrel Manning. Described as a "collection of topical, punchy vignettes" the work explore issues of race, class, and diversity in America.

The US premiere of The Thickness of Skin (March 15, 2019-April 11, 2019) by acclaimed British playwright Clare McIntrye closes the season. Directed by Lee Brock, The Thickness of Skin tells the story of a middle-class woman who lends a hand to a homeless man.

Founded in 1986, the Barrow Group is a New York City theater company and performing arts training center committed to "putting forth stories that are relevant to our lives as we live them."
