Terry Kinney will direct the world premiere of Lyle Kessler’s Collision, to be presented by The Amoralists at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, according to The New York Times. The production will begin January 8, 2013 with an opening on January 25.

Set in a college dormitory, the play involves the interactions between a professor, some students, and a stranger.

Kinney received a Tony nomination for his performance in The Grapes of Wrath and a Drama Desk nomination for his direction of reasons to be pretty.

Kessler is best known for his play Orphans, which as previously reported, will have a Broadway revival this coming season, starring Alec Baldwin.
