Paper Mill Playhouse has announced that it will conclude its 75th-anniversary season with a production of Grease, set to run from May 28-June 29. Opening night will be June 1. With book, music, and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease will be directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by JoAnn M. Hunter. The show will feature additional songs by John Farrar, Barry Gibb, Scott Simon, and Louis St. Louis.
The newly announced cast will include Taylor Louderman (Sandy Dumbrowski), Bobby Conte Thornton (Danny Zuko), Robin De Jesús (Doody), Telly Leung (Teen Angel), Morgan Weed (Betty Rizzo), Shane Donovan (Kenickie), Dana Steingold (Frenchy), and Tommy Bracco (Sonny).
Grease is a rock-n-roll musical favorite set in the 1950s. It follows Danny, Sandy, Frenchy, Kenickie, and Rizzo as they navigate their world of fast cars and first loves. The show includes beloved songs such as "Summer Nights," "We Go Together," and "Greased Lightning."
