
Academy Award winner Shirley Jones will perform A Night at the Oscars, The Music That Made the Movies at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on March 12. In the concert, she will be accompanied by the Hollywood Concert Orchestra and perform songs from many of the movie musicals in which she starred.
Jones made her Broadway debut in South Pacific and later starred in Maggie Flynn and the revival of 42nd Street. In addition, Jones starred in the film version of three great Broadway musicals, Oklahoma!, Carousel, and The Music Man. She won the Academy Award for her turn in Elmer Gantry. She may be most famous for her work on television, playing the mother on the long-running The Partridge Family.
