Sheldon Best, Lizan Mitchell, and More Cast in LCT3's brownsville song (b-side for tray)

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater New York premiere production of brownsville song (b-side for tray), a new play by Kimber Lee. The production, which will be directed by Patricia McGregor, will begin performances October 4 and run through November 16 at The Claire Tow Theater. Opening night is set for October 20.

brownsville song (b-side for tray) follows the family members of 17-year-old Tray (Sheldon Best) as they navigate their grief and find hope together after his life is cut short.

The cast will feature Sheldon Best, Sun Mee Chomet, Lizan Mitchell, Chris Myers, and Taliyah Whitaker.

The production's design will include sets by Andromache Chalfant, costumes by Dede Ayite, lighting by Jiyoun Chang, sound by Asa Wember, and choreography by Paloma McGregor.

Kimber Lee's plays include fight and tokyo fish story. Center Theatre Group recently presented the world premiere of her play different words for the same thing at Los Angeles' Kirk Douglas Theatre.
