Full cast and creative team information has been announced for the Writers’ Theatre‘s production of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Artistic Director Michael Halberstam will direct the production, which runs September 4-November 11, with an opening on September 13.
Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy is equal parts ghost story, political intrigue, doomed romance and murder mystery, driven by one of literature’s most intriguing, enigmatic and controversial characters.
The cast will feature Scott Parkinson (Hamlet), Shannon Cochran (Gertrude), Michael Canavan (Claudius), Timothy Edward Kane (Laertes), Larry Yando (Ghost and As Cast), Ross Lehman (Polonius), Kareem Bandealy (Horatio), Liesel Matthews (Ophelia), Julian Parker (Rosencrantz), Witold Huzior (Fortinbras) and Billy Fenderson (Guildenstern).
The production team includes Collette Pollard (scenic design), David Hyman (costumes), Sarah Hughey (lighting), Mikhail Fiksel (sound) and David Woolley (fight direction).
