See Debra Monk and the Cast of Visiting Edna in Rehearsal

Steppenwolf Theatre has released photos from rehearsal for its upcoming production of Visiting Edna, a world premiere by David Rabe, directed by Steppenwolf Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro. Tony and Emmy Award winner Debra Monk plays the title role in the new play, which begins previews September 15 and opens September 25 for a run through November 6.

As Edna, Monk plays a cancer patient who experiences an extraordinary moment during an ordinary visit by her son Andrew, played by ensemble member Ian Barford. Ensemble members K. Todd Freeman (Airline Highway), Sally Murphy (August: Osage County), and Michael Rabe are also featured in the cast.
