Sebastian Arcelus (House of Cards), John Douglas Thompson (The Emperor Jones), and Fred Dalton Thompson (Law & Order) will star in the upcoming Broadway premiere of John Grisham’s A Time to Kill. Adapted for the stage by Rupert Holmes and directed by Ethan McSweeny, previews will begin September 28 with an opening at the John Golden Theatre set for October 20.
Grisham’s novel was first published in 1988 and was subsequently adapted for the screen, in a version that starred Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson, Matthew McConaughey, and Kevin Spacey. Grisham is also the author of the novels The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Rainmaker, and The Client, among many others.
While rehearsing and performing in A Time to Kill, Arcelus will continue his commitment as a regular on Emmy-nominated series House Of Cards.
A Time to Kill will feature scenic design by James Noone, costume design by David Woolard, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Lindsay Jones, and projection design by Jeff Sugg.
