Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell Set for Lunatic at Large Movie

Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell are set to star in Lunatic at Large, according to Production Weekly. This new movie is based on a treatment written by the late Stanley Kubrick and pulp fiction writer Jim Thompson.

Lunatic is set in 1956 New York and centers on an ex-carnival worker with anger control issues and a nervous barfly whom he picks up. Details about the creative team and further casting will be announced at a later date.

Johansson made her Broadway debut this season in A View From the Bridge. Among her many movies credits are Match Point, Iron Man, The Nanny Diaries, The Other Boleyn Girl, and Girl With a Pearl Earring.

Rockwell, who has worked frequently on stage, is currently appearing in the Broadway production of Martin McDonagh’s A Behanding in Spokane. Among his many other film credits are Everybody’s Fine, Moon, Lawn Dogs, and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
