Santino Fontana and Sierra Boggess to Lead Goodbye Girl Revival

The Marvin Hamlisch musical will run off-Broadway in May.

Santino Fontana and Sierra Boggess will star in an off-Broadway revival of the musical The Goodbye Girl, running May 7-21 at Theatre Row. The production will be directed by lyricist David Zippel.

Based on the film of the same title, The Goodbye Girl has a score by Zippel and Marvin Hamlisch, with a book by Neil Simon. It follows the romance between a single mother (Boggess) and an actor (Fontana), who unexpectedly shows up on her doorstep with a lease to sublet her apartment. Gerry McIntyre will choreograph, with Miles Plant serving as musical director.

Rounding out the company will be Christopher Sieber (Character Actor), Debra Thais Evans (Cosby), Lena Josephine Marano (Lucy), Tara Radha Rajan (Melanie), Honor Blue Savage (Cynthia), Alyssa Isihara (Jenna & others), Emma Kantor (Rhonda & others), Jessica Ann Lawyer (Donna & others), Daniel Pahl, Tony Collins, and Dan DeLuca, who will play Fontana’s role on May 11 and 12.

Presented by the J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company, The Goodbye Girl‘s creative team includes Joshua Warner (Set Designer), Ethan Steimel (Lighting Designer), Thomas J.C. Gluodenis (Costume Designer), Emily LaRosa (Properties Designer), Griffin Strout (Associate Music Director), Frederick Miller (Dramaturg), and Sara Andreas (Assistant Choreographer).
