Rosie O’Donnell will return to the New York stage this summer for an off-Broadway run of her new solo show, Common Knowledge.

Directed by Gabriel Barre, Common Knowledge will play the Daryl Roth Theatre July 22-August 8. The play comes to New York following runs in Dublin, Edinburgh, Sydney, Melbourne, and Glasgow.

Common Knowledge finds the 11-time Emmy-winner and 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award recipient reflecting on her highly publicized move to Dublin and the cultural shift that came with it, as well as what it has been like raising her nonbinary youngest child, Clay, amid the turmoil of leaving the United States.

O’Donnell has appeared on Broadway in rGreaseSeussical, and Fiddler on the Roof, and she produced the 2003 Boy George musical, Taboo. She has hosted the Tony Awards ceremony three times and earned an Emmy Award for hosting the 52nd Tony Awards ceremony, in 1998. A longtime champion of the theater, she is best known (and still beloved) for her long-running talk show, which gave the spotlight to Broadway on a near daily basis.
