Rosemary Harris to Join the Cast of Broadway's My Fair Lady

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Tony Award winner Rosemary Harris (The Road to Mecca) will return to Broadway in the role of Mrs. Higgins in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady, directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning September 11 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Diana Rigg will play her final performance on September 9.

Harris joins a cast headed by Lauren Ambrose, Harry Hadden-Paton, Norbert Leo Butz, Allan Corduner, Jordan Donica, Linda Mugleston, and Clarke Thorell. The production's ensemble features Cameron Adams, Shereen Ahmed, Kerstin Anderson, Heather Botts, Rebecca Eichenberger, SuEllen Estey, Christopher Faison, Steven Trumon Gray, Adam Grupper, Michael Halling, Joe Hart, Todd A. Horman, Sasha Hutchings, Kate Marilley, Liz McCartney, Justin Lee Miller, Rommel Pierre O'Choa, Keven Quillon, JoAnna Rhinehart, Tony Roach, Lance Roberts, Blair Ross, Christine Cornish Smith, Paul Slade Smith, Samantha Sturm, Matt Wall, Michael Williams, Minami Yusui, and Lee Zarrett. Harry Hadden-Paton is appearing with the support of the Actors' Equity Association.

Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's play and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture Pygmalion, My Fair Lady, with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, premiered on Broadway on March 15, 1956. Directed by Bartlett Sher, the new revival features choreography by Christopher Gattelli, with sets by Michael Yeargan, lighting by Donald Holder, sound by Marc Salzberg, and Tony-winning costume design by Catherine Zuber.
