Broadway veteran Reba McEntire has received a nomination for an Academy of Country Music Award. The singer will also serve as host for the awards ceremony, to be held on April 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and to be broadcast live on CBS.
McEntire, who starred in the revival of Annie Get Your Gun as well as the Carnegie Hall concert of South Pacific, is nominated as Female Vocalist of the Year, alongside Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Lee Ann Womack.
Among the many other nominees are Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band.
