Radha Blank, Jocelyn Bioh, Robyn Corujo, Glenn Gordon, Teresa Avia Lim and Ayesha Ngaujah will star in Blank’s American Schemes, which as previously reported, will be presented as part of the SummerStage season. Performances will take place on Friday, July 2 and Saturday July 3 at St. Mary’s Park, Bronx and Friday, July 9 at Crotona Park, Bronx at 8pm. Charlotte L. Brathwaite directs.
A special commission by City Parks Foundation, the piece focuses on people from various social hierarchies including immigrant vendors, corporate yuppies, and female emcees who are all trying to live The American Dream.
The creative team includes Ana Milosevic (scenic design), Dede Ayite (costume design) and Luqman Brown (sound design).
