Primary Stages has announced a talkback series after select performances of the first production of their 2017-18 season, the New York premiere of Scott Carter's The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, at Cherry Lane Theatre September 19-October 22.

Carter himself will lead all the talkbacks.
In Carter's play, making its New York premiere in a production directed by Kimberly Senior, Duane Boutté (Parade) will play Charles Dickens, Michael Laurence (Talk Radio) will be Thomas Jefferson, and Thom Sesma (Pacific Overtures) takes on Leo Tolstoy. It "finds three of history's most famous men, all of whom wrote their own version of the gospels, debating everything from religion to literature to marriage."
