Plácido Domingo: My Favorite Roles will be broadcast on PBS’ Great Performances on Friday, September 23 at 9pm. Chris Hunt has produced and directed the project.
The program, a compilation of excerpts from performances the tenor has given over the years, will feature selections from such operas as Carmen, Tales of Hoffmann, Tosca, Ernani and I Pagliacci. Among the other performers who are seen during the course of the show are Kiri Te Kanawa, Carol Neblett, Renata Scotto, Teresa Stratas, and Shirley Verrett.
The performance documentary will also feature Domingo’s reflections on his life and career.
