PigPen Theatre Co. will be offering free tickets to its acclaimed off-Broadway production of The Old Man and the Old Moon, which has extended its run at The Gym at Judson through January 6, for those displaced from their homes due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
Written and performed collaboratively by the company, The Old Man and the Old Moon is the tale of an old man who must abandon his duties of filling up the moon every month to cross the seas in search of his missing wife.
The company will have 20 complimentary tickets on hand for Sandy victims will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at each performance until all tri-state residents are able to safely return to their homes. Proof of identification listing the zip code of an afflicted area is required for those who wish to take PigPen up on this offer. Those who have been displaced should use the codeword “SANDY” and may request up to two tickets.
