PHOTO FLASH: Scott Bakula, Laurence Fishburne, Morgan Freeman, Bettye LaVette, Matthew Morrison at Ford’s Theatre Gala

Morgan Freeman and Elie Wiesel received Lincoln Medals at the Ford’s Theatre Annual Gala on Sunday, June 3.

The event, which honors courageous achievement through performance, was hosted by Scott Bakula, and featured appearances by Anna Christy, The Civil Wars, Bettye LaVette, Matthew Morrison, Robert Cuccioli, Bobby Smith, and additional cast members from the Ford’s Theatre revival of 1776.

Additional attendees included Jeff Calhoun, Laurence Fishburne, Nancy Pelosi, and Ronald Perelman.

First Lady Michelle Obama served as the honorary chair of the celebration. The gala benefits the Ford’s Theatre Society and its programming.
