The Los Angeles engagement of Come Fly Away, directed and choreographed by Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra, opened at the Pantages Theatre on Tuesday October 25.
Sinatra’s daughters Nancy Sinatra and Tina Sinatra were in attendance as was Frank Sinatra’s long-time collaborator, Quincy Jones.
Come Fly Away follows four couples as they fall in and out of love during one song and dance filled evening at a nightclub. Songs featured in the show include “Fly Me To The Moon,” “My Way,” and “That’s Life.”
The production features scenic design by James Youmans, costume design by Katherine Roth, lighting design by Donald Holder, and sound design by Peter McBoyle. Additional arrangements and orchestrations and music supervision are by Dave Pierce.
