The New York premiere of Adam Rapp’s first play, Ghosts in the Cottonwoods opened at Theater 80 on Saturday, November 13. Rapp has directed the production, which is being presented by The Amoralists.

The play is set on the night of a terrible storm, as a single mother and her younger son await the arrival of the older son, who has broken out of prison.

The cast includes William Apps, Selene Beretta, James Kautz, Nick Lawson, Sarah Lemp, Morton Matthews, Patrick McDaniel, Rochelle Mikulich, Matthew Pilieci, Mark Riccadonna, and Meghan Ritchie.

Opening night guests included Louis Cancelmi, Michael Cerveris, Christopher Denham, America Ferrera, Ari Graynor, Jodie Markell, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Katherine Waterston, and Sam Waterston.
