On Monday, May 14, Ensemble Studio Theatre honored two of its most distinguished members, the acclaimed actress Lois Smith and two-time Board chair G.H. “Denny” Denniston, Jr with its 2012 Distinguished Member Award at a “Fun-Raiser” benefit celebration at SIR Stage 37.
The evening included a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the “Lois and Denny Hour.” Inspired by The Johnny Carson Show, the show was hosted by Peter Maloney, with his sidekick Tyrone played by Steve Boyer, the EST-V house band composed of EST member musicians.
Guests in attendance included Jon Robin Baitz, Steven Boyer, Carolyn Cantor, Geneva Carr, Dominic Chianese, Neil Cuthbert, Jeremy Davidson, Kathryn Erbe, Abigail Gampel, John Guare, Ilene Kristen, David Margulies, Mary Stuart Masterson, David Rasche, Mare Winningham, Jerry Zaks, and the cast of Amy Herzog’s After the Revolution.
