On Monday, April 23, the Broadway production of Ghost the Musical opened at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre with Matthew Warchus at the helm.
Opening night guests included Jerry Zucker, the original Ghost film director and Lisa Niemi, the wife of the late Patrick Swayze, who starred in the film.
First nighters in the house also included Debbie Allen, Nina Arianda, Peter Asher, Bobby Cannavale, Jamie Cepero, Will Chase, Hope Davis, Robin De Jesus, LuAnn de Lesseps, John Edward, Edie Falco, Simon Fuller, Gina Gershon, Victoria Gotti, Megan Hilty, Bobby Kaiser, Jared Kushner, Christine Lahti, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Martina McBride, David Hyde Pierce, Dee Snider, Suzette Snider, Vivian Nixon, Ivanka Trump, and Ben Vereen.
Caissie Levy, Richard Fleeshman, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Bryce Pinkham star in the musical, based on the popular film of the same name, which features music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, and book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin, who won an Academy Award for his screenplay for the film.
