Actors Dulé Hill and Mekhi Phifer — currently starring on Broadway in Stick Fly — attended the Wednesday, February 15 performance of August Wilson’s Jitney, at Two River Theater in Red Bank, NJ.
The production is directed by their Stick Fly castmate, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, and stars Harvey Blanks (Shealy), J. Bernard Calloway (Booster), Anthony Chisholm (Fielding), Chuck Cooper (Becker), Brandon J. Dirden (Youngblood), Roslyn Ruff (Rena), Ray Anthony Thomas (Philmore), James A. Williams (Doub), and Allie Woods (Turnbo).
The play is set in a makeshift gypsy cab station in the changing community of 1977 Pittsburgh.
