Tony Award winner Amanda Plummer has joined the cast of Catching Fire, Francis Lawrence’s follow-up to the popular film, The Hunger Games, according to EW.
The film will star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Donald Sutherland. It is slated for a November 22, 2013 release.
As previously reported, three-time Tony Award nominee and Oscar winner
Philip Seymour Hoffman will play the role of Plutarch Heavensbee in the film.
Plummer, who will play the role of Wiress, received a Tony Award for her work in Agnes of God. She also received a Tony nomination, a Drama Desk Award, and Theatre World Award for A Taste of Honey, a Tony nomination for Pygmalion, and also starred on Broadway in The Glass Menagerie. Her film and television credits include So I Married an Axe Murderer, The Fisher King, and Needful Things.
