Bard SummerScape has announced casting for an all-male production of Moliere’s The Imaginary Invalid, to perform at the Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, July 13-22. As previously reported, Erica Schmidt will direct.

This classic comedy of manners targets both hypochondriacs and the money-grubbing medics who exploit them.

Emmy Award-winning stage and screen star Peter Dinklage will cross-dress to play maidservant Toinette, with the cast also including Danny Binstock (Cléante), Zach Booth (Béline), Kevin Cahoon (Mr. Fleurant / Mr. Bonnefoy), Donnie Keshawarz (Béralde), (Ethan Phillips (Argan), Preston Sadleir (Angélique), Henry Vick (Thomas Diafoirus), and Damian Young (Mr. Diafoirus / Mr. Purgon).

The production will feature costume design by Andrea Lauer, set design by Laura Jellinek, and lighting design by David Weiner.
