A Night With Janis Joplin starts performances tonight at Pasadena Playhouse. Mary Bridget Davies re-creates her Broadway performance in the role that earned her a Tony nomination. Randy Johnson, the show's creator, directs.

The show treats audiences to some of their favorites including "Summertime," "Piece of My Heart," "Cry Baby," and "Me and Bobby McGee."

Kacee Clanton alternates with Davies in the role of Janis Joplin. The rest of the cast comprises Sharon Catherine Brown, Yvette Cason, Sylvia MacCalla, and Jenelle Lynn Randall.

The creative team includes Rob Bissinger (set design), Mike Baldassari (lighting design), Amy Clark (costume design), Ben Selke (sound design), Darrel Maloney (projections design), and Leah Loukas (hair and makeup).

Performances will run through August 16.
