Park Square Theatre has announced four new artistic associates who will work with Artistic Director Richard Cook to expand the theater’s play selection and community reach.
The four artists have careers in the Twin Cities as well as in other communities nationwide. Each has signed on for a three-year commitment. They are director and producer Brian Balcom; playwright, director, and actor Aditi Kapil; playwright Carson Kreitzer; and director, actor, and teacher James A. Williams.
The associates will meet formally every quarter and be in ongoing communication with each other and Cook as they approach their first assignment, which will be to provide a review and make recommendations for early program planning for the 2012-2013 season. In addition to advising, each associate will get their work on one of Park Square’s stages during the upcoming three-year period.
