Clare Cook Dance Theater’s Show Me Real will be presented July 11 and 14 as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival at the PTC Performance Space.
Show Me Real, which traces the experiences of three female dancers from the 1920’s to the present, premiered in March at TADA! Theater. The NYMF production stars Lori Byargeon, Clare Cook, Claire Glassford, Dana Hunter, Julia Kelly, and Courtney Pruden. Lighting design is by Mike Inwood, with costumes by Liam O’Brien.
Cook conceives and choreographs the piece, with original music and lyrics by Amy Burgess and dramatic text and lyrics by Gena Oppenheim.
