Next to Normal's J. Robert Spencer Set for NYMF's Bayonets of Angst

Complete casting has been announced for the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) production of Bayonets of Angst, which will play from July 9-16 at Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Michael Lluberes will direct, with music direction by Joe Brent.

The newly announced full cast will feature Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer (Next to Normal), Paul Whitty (Once), Herndon Lackey (LoveMusik), Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera), Michael Abbott Jr. (Shotgun Stories), Ian Lowe (Murder for Two), and Ryan Andes (Big Fish).

With a book by Rick Kunzi and Justin Zeppa, music by Rick Kunzi and Adam Barnosky, and lyrics by Rick Kunzi, Bayonets of Angst is a musical comedy set to a bluegrass soundtrack and narrated by the last remaining veterans of the American Civil War.
The design team includes Seth Easter (set design), Zach Blane (lighting design), Candida Nichols (costume design), and Harrison Adams (sound design).
