Steppenwolf artistic producer Jonathan Berry directs the Chicago-premiere production.
Production photos have been released for Steppenwolf Theatre‘s Chicago premiere of Constellations by British playwright Nick Payne. This two-character drama, which is directed by Steppenwolf artistic producers Jonathan Berry, opens June 1 and runs through July 3.
Constellations will feature Steppenwolf ensemble member Jon Michael Hill as Roland and Jessie Fisher as Marianne.
In Constellations, Roland (a bee keeper) and Marianne (a theoretical physicist) meet at a party. Their chance meeting might blossom into a meaningful relationship or a brief affair — or it might lead to nothing at all. Each step along those possible paths in turn offers a new series of potential outcomes.
The production team includes Joe Schermoly (scenic design), Izumi Inaba (costume design), Heather Gilbert (lighting design), and Christopher Kriz (sound design and original music).
