Jason Robert Brown’s monthly concert series is unaffected by the changes.
SubCulture, the underground music space below 45 Bleecker Street, has canceled most of its upcoming performance schedule to restructure its current business model, the New York Times reports.
The intimate venue has been open for two years, with a performance roster that ranged from the classical composer John Adams to Broadway's Jason Robert Brown, who plays a monthly concert as part of an artist's residency.
The for-profit SubCulture holds around 250 performances per year, though it has struggled in recent months with attracting audiences. Its current owners are currently exploring several money-making options, which have not been revealed.
Brown's shows, continuing through November, are unaffected by the restructuring.
